Deepavali celebrations held at Raj Bhavan
Deepavali celebrations were held at Raj Bhavan today with fervour and gaiety. The Hon’ble Governor, Dr (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, exchanged greetings , pleasantries, and Deepavali wishes with scores of people who beelined to the historic Raj Bhavan. The iconic Darbar hall wore a real festive look, which was not there in the recent past due to COVID-19.
While speaking to the people and the press, the Hon’ble Governor said that she was very happy to meet them all to exchange greetings physically, and for the last two years, it has not been possible because of the pandemic. She further asserted that it would now be possible to meet because of the vaccination only.She urged all to take the booster dose as it will effectively counter the pandemic and advised all people to take natural and native foods which will boost immunity.
This natural food, combined with small lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, healthy habits, adequate sleep, and regular walking, will provide us with sufficient immunity to combat challenges such as the pandemic COVID-19,she asserted. While expressing her gratitude for the love and affection showered on her by the loving people of Telangana and ever encouraging media, she wished for all to be blessed with good food, good shelter ,good education,employment,and enjoyment with the divine blessings of Ammavaru.
The Chairman, Telangana State Human Rights Commission and the Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Telangana State Branch are the few among the many people who attended the celebrations.
