NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC) THE LARGEST UNIFORMED YOUTH ORGANISATION IN THE WORLD RAISED IN 1948.
CELEBRATING 74th ANNIVERSARY TODAY
The NCC provides opportunity to the youth of our country,for their all round development with a sense of duty, commitment,dedication, discipline and moral values, so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. The NCC is one of the premier Youth organisation in our country aged from 12 years and above, which contributes in propagating national unity and integrity among young generation. Its primary role in instilling in them, self confidence, self belief, self worth and hardwork by shaping them into a mature, effective and law abiding citizens of our great nation.
Participation in Ek Bharat shreshtha Bharat, Swachh Bharat campaign, Har ghar Tiranga have left NCC a large & lasting foot print in every way. NCC has also been a plat form for harnessing international relations by sending its cadets as ambasdors of peace and brotherwood as part of YEP (Youth Exchange Programe) to varoius countries. Youths are joining NCC as platform to serve our motherland by joining Armed Foeces as Officers and other ranks. The importance of A , B and C certificate are well known to everyone.
To commoderate 75 years of NCC, a large number of events are taking place. A mega event, Unity Flame Run, is underway from Kanya Kumari to Delhi, a total distance of 3000 kms in 60 days @ 50 kms per day. This unique run started on 20 Nov 22 and will terminate at Delhi on 18 Jan 23. The flame will be carried in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharastra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and finally in Delhi. During this run a large number of NCC Cadets, Ex NCC cadets, ANOs, PI staff, civillians and others will join for limited distance.
Col KS Badhwar, Sena Medal, Gallantry, will be running the entire route. The team is headed by Col KS Badhwar, supported and accompanied by Col DS Mallik, Col A N Jha, Mr. Ravi Kumar (manager) and his team. The team has already done 350 kms and proceeding to velur on 27 Nov 22 for further journey.
During the run the team is motivating NCC cadts to become good son / daughter of thier parents, good students of their teachers, obedient to their NCC instructors and contributer towards nation building. Encouraging them to join Armed forces remains paramount important. Jai Hind.
