Vande Bharatam – Nritya Utsav – Dance to win your way to perform at the Republic Day Parade

Hyderabad: South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur, Ministry of Culture, is conducting State Level ‘Vande Bharatam’ Dance competitions (solo & group) for Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh States on behalf of Ministry of Culture at NIMH, Bowenpally, Secundrabad on Sunday (27th November 2022). Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and DoNER, Kishan Reddy will inuagarate the event.

Participants from the three States namely Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State will participate in this Dance competition.

Number of artists participating are as follows:

1. Chattisgarh State 19 groups, 131 artists

2. Andhra Pradesh 13 groups, 18 artists

3. Telangana State 17 groups, 48 artists

Total 49 groups, 197 artists.

In addition to above some Walk-in entries will also be allowed at the venue depending upon the eligibility criteria of the Competition. Under the aegis of ‘Vande Bharatam’, the first state level competition was organised by SCZCC, Nagpur on 17th and 18th Nov. 2022 at Mumbai in which 50 groups, 277 artists from the State of Maharashtra participated. The final Zonal level Dance competition of SCZCC, Nagpur Centre will be conducted at SCZCC office premises at Nagpur on 6th December 2022, in which the selected participants or groups from State level competition will be invited to take part.

The selected participants at Zonal level competition will then be invited to participate in National level competition being organised at New Delhi in December 2022.

Vande Bharatam – Nritya Utsav, an all-India dance competition is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Culture as part of Republic Day Celebrations 2023 and under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to work towards promoting the spirit of ‘Jan Bhagidari’, while also showcasing India’s vibrancy thorough its dance.
