TWO-DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR-CUM-WEBINAR ON “APPLICATION OF ‘AI’ IN MINERAL INDUSTRY” INAGUARATED
State Collegiate Education and Technical Education Commissioner Naveen Mittal said that in all areas there is revolutionary changes with artificial intelligence(AI) technology. He hoped that artificial intelligence is used in mining through which the country can prosper. Naveen Mittal was the chief guest at the two-day national seminar cum webinar on “Application Of Artificial Intelligence in Mineral Industries” under the auspices of Alumni Of Mining Engineers associations (Osmania and Kakatiya university), Mining Engineers Association (MEAI) Hyderabad Chapter, Kothagudem school of mines and Malla Reddy Engineering college on Thursday at Hyderabad. He said that artificial intelligence has become an integral part of daily life usage of email, cell phone and other applications. Mining industry is also taking its steps towards this in the Country and the efforts of old students of Osmania and Kakatiya, retired mining engineers is praiseworthy. He said that in the coming days with artificial intelligence technology in mining the country will achieve notable progress, mainly in the search for minerals, accident prevention in mines, efficient usage of machinery in mines. Just like the telecom revolution which started a decade ago in the coming months with Artificial Intelligence there will be revolutionary growth. He also recollected that Singareni has been adapting new technological advancements achieved notable growth in production and productivity. He suggested that lot of improvements and research has to be done for development of technology. He has release the Souvenir prepared by Alumni of Mining Engineers’ Association.
Alumni of Mining Engineers’ playing key role for Bright future for mining industry: Naveen Mittal appreciated Osmania and Kakatiya University old students and Mining engineers association for their efforts in bringing mining education to the reach of students in Telangana which is plush with minerals. He said that it is highly appreciable that B.Tech course on mining has restarted in Osmania University from this year and to improve their technical knowledge such national level conferences are being held.

Sushil Kumar, Rourkela NIT mining department professor Dr. Singam Jayant, Professor Karthik spoke on the occasion and explained the necessity of such seminars. OU, KU alumni association president Bikki Ramesh Kumar, MEAI Vice Chairman Dr. M.S.Venkatrammayya, Singareni Advisor mining D.N. Prasad, MEAI Secretary, Singareni chief liaison officer B.
