Minister Mohammed Azharuddin Joins Congress Protest Over Alleged Electoral Irregularities

NEW DELHI, October 12, 2026: Telangana Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin joined Telangana Congress leaders in a protest against the Election Commission over alleged electoral irregularities in New Delhi on Monday.

Azharuddin joined the leaders at Telangana Bhawan under the leadership of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AICC Telangana in-charge Sachin Sawant.

The Congress leaders then proceeded towards the Supreme Court to participate in the protest, joining Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

The protest was organised to raise the party’s concerns over alleged electoral irregularities and the functioning of the Election Commission.
