NIT Andhra Pradesh recognized as Best Institute in South India 2021

National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh won accolade as the ‘Best Institute in South India 2021.’ Centre for Education Growth and Research, a New Delhi-based education think tank, recognized NIT for its contribution towards skill development and research. The award was bestowed during the 15th Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar ceremony on September 7.

While receiving the award, Prof. C.S.P. Rao, Director of NIT, congratulated stakeholders of the institute.”The challenges during the pandemic made us commit strongly for building the institute with new initiatives. The placement percentage is increasing every year due to continuous skill development programs.”

Prof. Rao further said, “The institute has revised the undergraduate (B.Tech) curriculum from 2020-21 academic year onward as per the guidelines of New Education Policy 2020. The faculty got attractive funding for their research work. Currently, we are expanding our wings to make good industry linkages and international collaborations. We thank the Ministry of Education for their continuous support on this occasion.”

Dr. Dinesh Sankar Reddy, Registrar in-charge lauded Rao’s role in building world-class infrastructure and amenities in record time in the institute. Reddy said, “The award boosts all stakeholders to maintain the best education and research ecosystem in the institute. We strive to achieve many more milestones and become institute of eminence in future.”

NIT Andhra Pradesh is an ‘Institute of National Importance’ and is the youngest among the 31 NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established during the academic year 2015-16.
