People’s Welfare is the Priority – Congress Government Ensuring Justice to Mancherial: Minister Vivek Venkatswamy
Mancherial, April 3, 2026: Labour and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy stated that the Congress government in Telangana is implementing wide-ranging programmes with a clear focus on public welfare and development. He was speaking at the Mancherial District DCC meeting.
The Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, several welfare schemes are being successfully implemented across the state. He added that the leadership is actively visiting districts to understand public issues, while TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud is touring extensively to strengthen party activities.
Vivek Venkatswamy alleged that during the previous government, DMFT funds meant for Mancherial district were diverted to other regions. However, he clarified that the present Congress government has ensured that these funds are now fully allocated to the district. He also criticized the earlier regime, stating that large buildings were constructed primarily for commissions rather than for public benefit.
Highlighting key welfare initiatives, the Minister said schemes such as Indiramma housing and 200 units of free electricity are directly benefiting the poor. He noted that Indiramma houses have been sanctioned not only in Chennur but also in Siddipet.
He further stated that the government is implementing several welfare programmes based on people’s needs and has allocated adequate funds in the recent state budget. He announced that the “Rajiv Yuva Vikasam” scheme will be launched soon.
Calling upon party workers to take government programmes to the grassroots level, he urged them to create awareness among the public. He assured that the party will recognize and support those who work towards strengthening it.
The Minister also pointed out that despite the financial strain caused by heavy borrowings during the previous government, the current administration is continuing governance with a strong focus on public welfare.
Responding on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, he said that despite spending lakhs of crores, the results have not met expectations.
The meeting was held at MNR Gardens in Kyathanpalli Municipality and was attended by Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Mancherial MLA Prem Sagar Rao, along with other senior leaders.
