PHOTO EXHIBITION ON TELUGU FREEDOM FIGHTERS INAUGURATED BY HARYANA GOVERNOR DATTATREYA AND UNION MINISTER KISHAN REDDY

In a bid to showcase the events highlighting the role of Telugu freedom fighters in the freedom movement, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Hyderabad organized a photo exhibition on telugu freedom fighters, which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Bandaru Dattatreya and Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of the North-Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy, at Keshav Memorial Institute of Commerce and Science, Narayanaguda today.

After inaugurating the exhibition, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya said that conducting such photo exhibitions will remind the youth about the value of sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to secure the future of the nation. The idea of organizing this type of exhibitions will instil a sense of pride regarding India’s glorious history and culture, he added. Speaking on this occasion, Shri G. Kishan Reddy said that this is an apt time to recollect the sacrifices made by our forefathers towards attainment of freedom in the name of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and urged the citizens to visit the exhibition.

Smt. Shruti Patil, Director PIB & ROB said that this photo exhibition displayed forty panels highlighting the contribution of ‘unsung heroes’ of freedom struggle. She further said that the exhibition is a part of series of Programmes organized in the form of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav throughout the country to celebrate the 75 years of India’s independence.

The present photo exhibition at Keshav Memorial Institute of Commerce and Science, Narayanaguda will remain open for public for 3 days from 20th November to 22nd November, 2021. Photo panels of prominent freedom fighters from two telugu states were displayed in this exhibition.

The Publications Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India has put up a stall at the venue showcasing much acclaimed publications on freedom struggle and freedom fighters. Among others, Dr. Manas Krishna Kant from PIB, Hari Babu and Ardha Srinivas Patel from ROB, Krishna Vandana, Senior from Yojana and other officials participated in the event.
