Hyderabad: The Union Ministry of Culture has been assigned as the Nodal Ministry for organizing the campaigns “Qila Aur Kahaniya” and “Wonder Caves” under the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ under the theme ‘Cultural Pride.’ Golconda Fort under Archaeological Survey of India, Hyderabad Circle has been approved for the celebration of “Qila Aur Kahaniya”, in collaboration with the South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC). The event is scheduled to be organized for two days on June 2 and 3.
The event will be inaugurated on June 2 by Union Minister of Tourism & Culture G. Kishan Reddy, by hoisting tricolour, which coincides with the Telangana Formation Day and it will be open for the general public as well. This will be followed by the inauguration of Photo Exhibitions set up by various departments under Ministry of Culture in Telangana State. In the evening, cultural festival will be conducted having performances by renowned singers, classical and folk dances by various well known artists.
On June 3, the visitors will get a chance to witness the spectacular cultural event, which will mark the closing of the festival. The public was informed that on both the days the entry into the Golconda Fort during the cultural program will be free. (NSS)
