State Development and Public Welfare Are the Government’s Core Objectives

January 14, 2026 : The State government is working with the primary objective of overall development and public welfare, said Labour, Employment & Training, Factories, Mines & Geology Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy.

On Wednesday, the Minister, along with District Collector Kumar Deepak and Kyathanpally Municipal Commissioner Raju, laid foundation stones for several development works in the Kyathanpally Municipal limits of Mancherial district. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Minister stated that the government is effectively implementing various welfare and development programmes by keeping public needs at the forefront.

He assured that steps would be taken soon to relocate electric poles, power lines and transformers that have become hazardous to residents in various wards of Kyathanpally Municipality. Under the AMRUT scheme, ₹40 crore has been sanctioned to Kyathanpally Municipality, of which nearly 50 per cent of the works have already been completed. Efforts are underway to complete the remaining works and provide clean drinking water to every household through tap connections.

The Minister said the government is strengthening government hospitals by increasing the number of doctors and staff to ensure faster and better medical services. He also informed that ration cards, which were pending for the last 10 years, have been identified and issued to eligible poor families. Fine rice is being distributed every month through the Public Distribution System, and arrangements are being made to provide pensions to eligible beneficiaries from next month.

An amount of ₹15 crore has been sanctioned to Kyathanpally Municipality under urban development funds for various works. He added that DMFT and CSR funds would also be utilised for public welfare purposes.

Details of works inaugurated and foundation stones laid:

  • In Ward No. 6, Bhagat Singh Nagar, near the Mandal Parishad Primary School – works worth ₹87.58 lakh with TUFIDC funds
  • In Ward No. 21, near Jenda on the main road – works worth ₹20 lakh with urban development funds
  • In Ward No. 17, Rajiv Chowk – works worth ₹50 lakh
  • In Ward No. 20, Srinivasa Nagar–Pragathi Nagar junction – internal roads and drainage works worth ₹38 lakh
  • In Ward No. 3, Indira Nagar, near Pochamma temple – works worth ₹22.50 lakh
  • In Ward No. 10, Retirement Colony Board area – works worth ₹1.24 crore
  • In Ward No. 11, behind the substation – works worth ₹28.36 lakh
  • In Ward No. 15, Arumalla Pocham Road – works worth ₹42.60 lakh with TUFIDC funds
  • In Ward No. 18, near Tagore Stadium Park – works worth ₹15 lakh
  • In Ward No. 19, near Abraham Nagar Board – works worth ₹15 lakh with urban development funds

The Minister also inaugurated a lighting system installed on the Railway Over Bridge at a cost of ₹57 lakh using DMFT funds, for the convenience and safety of the public.

Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy assured that every area in the Chennur Assembly constituency would be developed comprehensively and all necessary facilities would be provided to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience.
