National Defence College trainee officers call on Governor at Raj Bhavan
Hyderabad: Trainees at the National Defence College, New Delhi, called on Hon’ble Governor Dr (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan, here, on Tuesday. As part of the study tour, a team of 15 members of the ”National Security and Strategic Studies’ of NDC led by Air Vice-Marshal Tejbir Singh had an interaction with the Governor.
The NDC conducts a 47 week course every year on ‘National Security and Strategic Studies” for Defence staff, foreign nationals, members of Indian civil services and corporate sector persons. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor called upon the youth to know more about the sacrifices being made by our valiant armed forces. “I have utmost respect to the defence personnel, who are protecting our nation and only because of them, every person in the nation is living safely and happily”, she said.
Interacting with the officer trainees, she said that due to the continuous efforts by State and Central governments, our country emerged successful in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic. “With the clarion call by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, we were able to produce vaccines indigenously to fight with Covid-19” she said. She also highlighted the efforts being made by central government in expanding medical education in the country.
