Berlin : Labour, Employment and Mines Minister G Vivek Venkatswamy on Thursday interacted with members of the Indian diaspora in Berlin, reaffirming the Telangana government’s commitment to the welfare and global success of its citizens abroad.
A high-level delegation from the Government of Telangana, led by the Minister, held an engaging interaction with Telangana diaspora members, including young professionals and students. The meeting served as a platform to discuss community welfare, career opportunities, and the state’s vision for global skill integration.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister praised the “dynamic and enterprising spirit” of the Telangana diaspora in Germany and assured them of the government’s unwavering support. He stated that the government would extend comprehensive assistance—administrative, legal, and professional—to ensure that Telangana citizens thrive in Germany.
Emphasising youth empowerment, he highlighted the vision of a “Young India” and encouraged students and professionals to innovate and lead in their respective fields. He assured that the Telangana government would act as a strong bridge to address their needs and facilitate their growth.
The Minister underscored the importance of learning the German language as a key factor for success. He noted that proficiency in German is not only essential for social integration but also crucial for accessing high-growth opportunities in sectors such as engineering, technology, and healthcare. He urged the diaspora to embrace the local language to better navigate the professional landscape in Germany.
Highlighting the state’s forward-looking initiatives, the Minister informed that the Telangana government has already launched specialised German language training programmes to prepare students for international careers. These initiatives aim to equip youth with the necessary skills to compete and succeed in global markets.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, the Minister said Telangana is actively working to create global pathways for its youth, ensuring they are well-prepared, supported, and connected wherever they go.
