Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy Holds Key Talks in Hanover to Boost Overseas JobsState Eyes Germany for Skilled Workforce Opportunities
Hannover, April 7: Labour, Employment and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Tuesday held a high-level meeting with officials of the German Federal Employment Agency in Hanover, Germany, to explore overseas employment opportunities for Telangana’s youth.
The discussions focused on expanding avenues for skilled workforce mobility from Telangana to Germany, particularly in sectors witnessing a shortage of skilled manpower. The meeting also reviewed the state’s preparedness to meet German job market requirements, including skill standards, language training, and certification processes.
The Minister highlighted the Telangana government’s proactive initiatives in upskilling youth through institutions like Telangana Overseas Manpower Company and other agencies, aligning training programmes with global industry demands.
The delegation included Special Chief Secretary (LETF) M. Dana Kishore, TOMCOM General Manager Nagabharti, Manager Anil Kumar, PMU Head Srinivas Rao, and Head of Skill Talent Acquisition Bala Ramani.
During the visit, the Minister and his team also felicitated Laura Breitsameter, Head of Department – Early Career Counseling at the German Federal Employment Agency.
The interaction marks a significant step towards creating structured pathways for Telangana youth to access global employment opportunities, particularly in advanced economies like Germany.
