Nizam of Hyderabad Necklace

Nizam of Hyderabad Necklace was a wedding gift to then-princess Elizabeth by Sir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII, the Nizam of Hyderabad and Berar.Nizam was a fabulously wealthy ruler who ranked first among all Indian rulers. He left instructions with the firm of Cartier in London to let the Princess Elizabeth pick anything from their existing stock for her present. Her Late Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II chose two pieces: a diamond-and-platinum necklace and a matching tiara.

Her Majesty was seen wearing this necklace many times.
