Step Forward in Welfare & Jobs: Farmer-, Youth-Centric Telangana Budget Praised by Vivek
Hyderabad, March 20:
Expressing his happiness over the Telangana State Budget 2026–27, Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy said that the budget presented by Bhatti Vikramarka clearly reflects the government’s strong commitment to welfare and farmer-centric development.
He noted that, as expected, the budget has accorded top priority to inclusive growth and social justice, reinforcing the state’s focus on equitable development.
“I am particularly pleased that two important initiatives under my ministry—the CM Overseas Employment Programme and the Scholarship for ATC Trainees—have been included in the budget,” the minister said. He added that these schemes would play a vital role in enhancing skill development among youth and expanding global employment opportunities.
Describing the budget as forward-looking and transformative, Vivek Venkatswamy said that prioritizing employment and employability is a crucial step toward empowering the educated youth across the state.
He further highlighted that key sectors such as agriculture, farmer welfare, healthcare, education, women and child welfare, and Panchayati Raj have received adequate allocations. “These investments will strengthen grassroots development and contribute significantly to the long-term socio-economic progress of the state,” he stated.
Emphasizing the broader vision, the minister said the Telangana Budget 2026–27 strikes a balance between welfare commitments and infrastructure expansion. It aims to accelerate economic growth while maintaining social inclusivity, reflecting a balanced approach that promotes urban modernization without neglecting rural and weaker sections, he added.
