Remarks by Minister Vivek Venkatswamy in the Assembly
With a progressive vision, the Congress government has taken a decision under the slogan “Telangana Rising” to transform the state into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
The Chief Minister and the state government are working towards achieving economic growth in the state through this vision.
The Chief Minister and the Industries Minister visited Davos and brought investments worth ₹7 lakh crore to the state.
To ensure these investments are effectively utilised, a plan has been prepared to establish Advanced Technology Centres. In consultation with Tata, 65 existing ITIs have been converted into ATCs.
During the BRS regime, these centres were neglected.
Additionally, 53 new ATCs are being established. In these centres, new courses relevant to emerging industries such as AI and drone technology are being introduced.
The Chief Minister has taken a significant decision in this budget to provide a monthly stipend of ₹2,000 to every student studying in these ATCs. This will come into effect from June 2.
Telangana is providing better training through these ATCs compared to other states in the country.
Similarly, through TOMCOM, employment opportunities are being created for youth in foreign countries.
An allocation of ₹90 crore has been made in the budget, including ₹30 crore specifically for language training.
Next month, a team of TOMCOM officials will visit Germany to explore opportunities for students and youth.
The state government is also introducing a new law for gig workers. This will benefit lakhs of people working in the unorganised sector and provide them with legal protection.
This law is being introduced in line with the assurance given by Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra to gig workers.
