Passion, Hard Work and Discipline Are the Keys to Success: Minister Azharuddin
New Minority Study Circle and Career Counselling Centre inaugurated in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, September 9: Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Minister Mohammed Azharuddin has urged minority students and youth to make full use of the educational and career opportunities being provided by the Telangana Government and achieve success through passion, hard work, discipline and determination.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Government Minority Study Circle and Career Counselling Centre at Indira Priya Darshini Junior College, Azharuddin described the facility as an important initiative aimed at empowering minority youth through education, competitive examination preparation and career guidance.
Appreciating the efforts of officials of the Minorities Welfare Department, particularly Director Tariq Anwar, for completing the centre, the Minister said the government had created the required facilities and opportunities and it was now the responsibility of students to utilise them effectively.
“Nothing comes free. Now that everything has been provided for you, you must take this opportunity and progress in life. You have to pay the price through your hard work,” Azharuddin told the students.
The Minister stressed the importance of developing passion for one’s chosen field and remaining committed to one’s goals. He said sincere hard work backed by passion would always yield results and encouraged students to make the best possible use of the facilities available at the centre.
Azharuddin said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was committed to the educational advancement and overall development of minority communities and had a clear vision of providing better opportunities to minority youth. He appreciated the Chief Minister’s willingness to consider suggestions and take measures to strengthen educational opportunities.
‘Never hesitate to ask questions’
Encouraging students to ask questions without hesitation, Azharuddin said questioning was an essential part of learning. Recalling his cricketing career, he said he regularly sought guidance and asked questions of his captain Sunil Gavaskar while representing the Indian team, which helped him learn and improve.
The Minister particularly encouraged girls to increase their participation in education and employment. He advised boys to stay away from bad habits, remain focused on their goals and use their time productively.
Recalling his student days at Nizam College, Azharuddin said he had seen two friends studying under a tree despite having limited facilities. Both eventually achieved success in their respective lives. Their journey, he said, demonstrated that determination and hard work were more important than circumstances.
Education is key to empowerment
Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir highlighted the importance of education and recalled that the first word revealed in the Quran was “Iqra”, meaning “Read”. He said education and knowledge were essential for empowering minority youth and highlighted various government initiatives and reservation measures aimed at expanding opportunities.
TMREIS President Faheem Qureshi described the new centre as a major milestone for minority youth and appreciated Minister Azharuddin’s continuous efforts and follow-up with the Chief Minister and various departments for its early completion. He urged students to make maximum use of the facilities and called for greater representation of minority students in the UPSC, civil services and other competitive examinations.
MP Anil Kumar Yadav described the facility as a historic initiative that would benefit both present and future generations. He appreciated the government’s focus on education and the development of minority institutions.
The programme was attended by Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, TMREIS President Faheem Qureshi, Minorities Welfare Department Director Tariq Anwar, Ahmed Nadeem, Ubaidulla Kotwal and Azmatullah Hussaini, besides officials, representatives and a large number of minority students and youth.
Minister Azharuddin reiterated that the government was committed to creating better educational and career opportunities for minority youth and called upon students to seize the opportunities available to them, remain passionate and determined, and build a successful future through education and hard work.
